Artist Statement
My work documents seemingly ordinary things – regular people, buildings, places. By freezing time, one notices the beauty in the everyday. I was born in Birmingham, Alabama to a Russian-speaking family. I attended the Alabama School of Fine Art and later New York University where I studied French and Hebrew. I create art that interests me, thus many pieces are very spontaneous. Planning is only an illusion as things generally change. I currently live in New York.
